Frequently asked questions
Where do I find my league's ID?
MyFantasyLeague:
Visit your league's homepage and look at the URL in your browser's address bar. It'll look something like this: https://www66.myfantasyleague.com/2022/home/55555. The 55555 in this example is your league's ID.
Sleeper or Fleaflicker:
You don't need to manually find IDs for your Sleeper or Fleaflicker leagues. Enter your Sleeper username (or ID if you prefer) or your Fleaflicker email address, and Dynasty Assistant will find your leagues and ask which one you'd like to import.
Do I need to give Dynasty Assistant my login details for MFL/Sleeper/Fleaflicker?
No. Dynasty Assistant uses the public APIs of those platforms to access data about your leagues.
For private MFL leagues, roster data can still be accessed without providing credentials, but for the initial import of league settings (league name, roster settings etc.) MFL requires a valid API key for that league. You can find that API key by going to Help -> Developer's API when logged in to your league on MFL. This can then be provided when importing a league on Dynasty Assistant, but will not be stored by our system.
How do I migrate my leagues to 2025?
On the My Leagues page, click 'Migrate to 2025' next to the league that you want to migrate. The league MUST have been migrated on the relevant fantasy platform before you do this on Dynasty Assistant, otherwise migrating won't work.
For Sleeper leagues, you'll need to select the replacement 2025 league from the list during the migration process. For MFL and Fleaflicker, you will just need to confirm that you'd like to migrate the league to 2025.
Why aren't all of my players appearing?
These are some reasons for players missing from your roster:
Custom MFL players. Custom MFL players aren't currently supported, and will just be missing from your roster right now.
For Sleeper/Fleaflicker leagues, the player is missing the correct ID in our player data source. If this is the case, we will be alerted automatically when this happens and will fix it as soon as possible. Once fixed, the player will be imported when the league data is next synced.
Do get in touch if you think something might be amiss. I appreciate it!
Where do the values come from?
The values come from the awesome Dynasty Process, which in turn uses Fantasy Pros' ECR consensus rankings. These values are generally updated weekly by Dynasty Process, and synced to Dynasty Assistant weekly on Saturdays.
What is Value-Weighted Average Age?
Using a typical mean average to represent the "age" of a roster can be misleading. If all of your stars are under 25, but you have 44-year-old Tom Brady as your QB2 and a few ageing veterans like Larry Fitzgerald and Julian Edelman in your WR depth, then your mean average age will, at a glance, make it look like your roster is very old.
Weighting the average age by using the Dynasty Process values tries to correct this, by taking value into account when calculating average age. The lower the value of the player, the less impact their age will have on the "average age" of a roster.
This is experimental: currently we're fully weighting the average with the values, but this is subject to change according to feedback and stuff - we could only weight partly according to value.
